About M. Drecht

M. Drecht writes science fiction about survival, first contact, and the machines that keep us company. The Silent Cradle, his debut novel, is the first book of a planned trilogy.

He grew up on Star Wars, Star Trek, and Babylon 5, and on science fiction shelves full of the late Anne McCaffrey’s Dragonriders of Pern, Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game series, and the works of Arthur C. Clarke, to name a few.

He lives in the Mountain West, and has felt most truly at home in the Pacific Northwest.

The Silent Cradle began as a solo video game project. Somewhere in the writing of script and plot, characters and world, it became something much more. He still hopes to build the game someday.
